ABOUT LORIE Lorie grew up in Plano and then made her way to Austin, TX to go to the University of Texas. After spending her college years in Austin, she decided it wasn't quite time to leave yet. She then went on to get her teaching certification and continue babysitting her favorite three kids.

ABOUT JESSE Jesse also grew up in Plano and stayed there for 2 years after highschool to work for Sprint. He then followed his parents to Austin to be closer to Lorie and save some money! Jesse went to Texas State University in San Marcos where he got his degree in Communication Studies. He also continues to work for Sprint in Austin.

HOW WE MET Lorie and Jesse met in their high school government class during their senior year. Jesse got his foot in the door by asking for the time every ten minutes. Lorie found this to be very cute, but only wanted to be friends. They immediately became best friends until one day during their sophmore year in college he convinced Lorie that they were meant to be with two dozen roses. 5 years later....they are tying the knot!
